The initial production of China’s primary aluminum was 3.29 million tons in September this year, down by 5.57% compared to the previous month but up by 4.35% from the same month a year ago. The average daily output was 109,700 tons, dropping by 2,700 tons from August.
In terms of supply, the energy storage in the main reservoirs in Yunnan has decreased year on year, and the reduction in electricity load has led to a certain scale of aluminium production decrease. Although the production capacity in Sichuan, Chongqing, and Guangxi has gradually resumed, it still takes time for the recovery process.
