Aluminum extrusions profiles are aluminum materials with different cross-sectional shapes obtained by hot melting and extruding aluminum rods. They are widely used in many fields.
Production and processing: The production of aluminum profiles mainly includes three processes: casting, extrusion and coloring. Coloring methods include oxidation, electrophoretic coating, fluorocarbon spraying, etc. During the processing, specific bending devices and straightening transfer devices are also used to improve production efficiency and product quality.
Characteristics and uses: Aluminum profiles have the characteristics of low density, força elevada, excellent electrical and thermal conductivity, etc., so they are widely used in aerospace, automobiles, machinery manufacturing, shipbuilding and other fields.
Extruded aluminum profile is an aluminum material manufactured by extrusion molding process. It usually belongs to 6 series aluminum material. It has good plasticity and strength, as well as excellent corrosion resistance and thermal conductivity.
On October 30, 2024, the US International Trade Commission (USITC) voted and then determined that the US industry wasn’t materially injured or threatened with material injury by imports of aluminum extrusions from China, Colombia, Ecuador, Índia, Indonesia, Italy, Malaysia, Mexico, Coreia do Sul, Taiwan, Tailândia, Turkey, the UAE, and Vietnam that was determined by the US Department of Commerce (USDOC) of the sales at prices lower than fair value made by the 14 countries and subsidies provided by the governments of China, Indonesia, Mexico, and Turkey.
Owing to the USITC’s negative final determinations, the USDOC will not issue the orders of anti-dumping (DE ANÚNCIOS) and countervailing duties (CVD) against aluminum extrusions profiles from the above-mentioned countries.
What are the Application of aluminum extrusions profiles?
Construction industry: Extruded aluminum is widely used in building curtain walls, janelas, portas, balconies, railings and other building decoration materials. It is favored for its lightweight, beautiful appearance and corrosion resistance.
Transportation field: Extruded aluminum is used to manufacture bodies, portas, chassis and other components of vehicles such as cars, trens, airplanes, and ships, helping to improve the safety and efficiency of transportation.
Electronic field: Extruded aluminum is widely used in electronic product casings, radiators, connectors and other components. Its good thermal conductivity and plasticity help achieve lightweight and efficient heat dissipation of electronic products.
Aerospace field: Extruded aluminum is used to manufacture structural materials for high-tech products such as aircraft and satellites. Its high strength and corrosion resistance can meet the requirements for use in extreme environments.
